Job description: Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Finance Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant experience in business finance, a strong analytical mindset, and a keen eye for detail.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting financial decision-making processes, analyzing business performance, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis:
– Conduct thorough financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and provide insights to key stakeholders.
– Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis and recommendations for improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
– Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.
– Collaborate with department heads to gather relevant financial information and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
2. Data Management:
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring data integrity.
– Utilize financial modelling techniques to support decision-making processes.
3. Cost Control:
– Monitor and analyze cost structures to identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
– Work closely with operational teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.
4. Financial Planning:
– Support strategic financial planning initiatives by providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
5. Risk Assessment:
– Identify and assess financial risks, proposing mitigation strategies to safeguard the organisation’s financial stability.
6. Ad Hoc Analysis:
– Undertake special projects and ad hoc analyses as required by senior management.
– Provide financial insights to support decision-making on various business initiatives.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
– 2-3 years of relevant experience in business finance or a related field.
– Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.
– Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
– Professional certification such as CA, or equivalent.
– Experience working in a start-up is a plus.
