We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Finance Office:
Assistant Finance Manager (Payment) (FO) (Ref: 24000C8)
To cope with the development of the University, Finance Office has been relocated to Ngau Tau Kok in November 2022.
Qualifications
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Supervising the daily operations of payment team, including vendor payments, petty cash and staff disbursements;
- Overseeing the payment team to ensure all accounts payable transactions comply with the University’s policies and procedures;
- Handling month-end accounts payable closing processes and supporting year-end audits;
- Streamlining workflows through system enhancement projects to improve operational efficiency;
- Providing guidance to subordinates; and
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
Candidates
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
- A recognised degree in accounting or equivalent, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in an accounting or accounts payable department;
- Professional accounting qualification is preferred;
- Hands-on experience in Oracle Financials is a definite advantage;
- Good communication and inter-personal skills and good command of English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua); and
- Accuracy and attention to details.
