BAT MALAYSIA IS LOOKING FOR A BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS & SUSTAINABILITY EXECUTIVE SENIORITY LEVEL Associate Manager FUNCTION Corporate and Regulatory Affairs (CORA) SALARY RANGE Base salary + excellent benefits + market leading bonus LOCATION Damansara Heights, KL ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES The role is responsible for developing and leading company’s internal communications strategy and plans, as well the company’s sustainability framework and its activities. Reports to Business Communications & Sustainability Manager Reporting Level Manage Self & Others Geographic Scope Direct Reporting Business Units What You Will Be Accountable For Manage and coordinate publication of internal communications, such as internal newsletters, employee portal and act as communications liaison with custodians for Global Internal Communications portal. Manage the implementation of internal comms forum for internal cascade to ensure employees are provided business-related information. Manage and advise on corporate brand usage, ensuring compliance to corporate brand guidelines. Assist in driving of above market projects related to internal communications initiatives that cascade Region and Global related information. Assist in planning and execution of media engagement initiatives to ensure effective relationships are built with media. Supports in planning and development of external publications (Integrated Annual Report) Ensure all media-related information are updated accordingly and stored in a structured and systematic manner. Manage and maintain Company website to ensure the website is up to-date. Essential Experience, Skills And Knowledge Good writing skills i.e. able to draft news releases, articles for external and internal publications Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (where applicable). Chinese would be an advantage. Have understanding and knowledge of local media, its structure, the dynamics of media scene and potential impact of media to the business.
