The position is local regulation requirement (part of BUCO resource backup) as mandatory role with license requirement.
Taiwan market is highly competitive with strong regulation influence. This critical role has to ensure the implementation of various guidance, practice and standards covering all WPB business lines and meeting internal bank policies and external regulation.
This role is responsible for:
- Obtain good understanding of different WPB business lines and extensive knowledge on the various regulation, process and system
- Conduct high-value reviews of business, operational for audit/ compliance assurance
- Consolidate internal and external audit requirements and provide timely feedback
- Timely remediate audit recommendation
- Anticipate issues and track the preventive measures to minimize the likelihood of occurrence on compliance/ audit matters
- Supervise daily operations involving the strict control of documentation and operations quality with reference to FIM, Internal Audit and local Regulations to ensure that relevant laws, regulations and compliance are adopted properly
- Daily communication and coordination are required for problem solving, solution provider and alternative decision making.
Qualifications
- University or above graduated
- Excellent communications, project management and interpersonal skills
- Relevant experience in the banking field is required
- Familiar with HSBC banking services, systems and process
- Have a strong concept of banking risk control and management to review the appropriateness of Operational Risk Management processes
- Attention to detail and familiarity with the local regulatory environment
