Job description: A foreign government entity engaged in trade in Vietnam is seeking a highly qualified individual to assume the position of Finance and Administration Manager within their Binh Duong team.
About the Finance and Administration Manager Role:
The Finance Manager oversees all financial transactions, procurement, and financial administration, ensuring that the company is meeting all of its financial and legal requirements, and that all financial policies and procedures are being followed. This person also is the central point of contact for all office management to ensure the smooth operation of the company office administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages data entry for all financial transactions, contract administration and procurement, accounts payable, purchase orders, supplier, and project coding, ensuring appropriate approvals and signatures
- Manages the general ledger entries, bank account reconciliations, payroll, and administration of employee benefits along with all regulatory required tax reporting and on-time filing
- Oversees the day-to-day processing of the company’s financial transactions in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures
- Works with the Country Director and other staff to update the monthly budget and financial commitments, coordinating financial reporting back to Head Office
- Prepares the monthly reporting for submission to the corporate headquarters and at year-end works with the company’s external accounting/audit/legal advisors and the Finance Director (HO) to prepare the schedules and annual year-end financial statements and regulatory requirements
- Liaises with the company’s legal counsel, auditors, and accounting/financial advisors, as well as with various Vietnamese government agencies and departments
- Liaises with the company’s financial auditors on the annual financial audit, coordinating with both Head Office and the audit team
- Monitors key corporate requirements, and ensures that all corporate filings, remissions, and requirements are being met
To succeed in this role, you must have good communication skills in English.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting, CPA or similar certification required.
- At least five years of experience in MNCs with a strong accounting background.
- Experience in dealing with government tax departments and tax filings.
- Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and accounting software applications.
