PURPOSE OF THE ROLE…
Category Assistant Manager of Home Care will play a key role in leading growth of home care business including fabric solutions, fabric sensations, home & hygiene, and life essentials, which are the fastest growing business groups for Unilever Korea. This role reports to marketing category leader in Unilever Korea business group and plays a strategic role in building Unilever home care brand in highly competitive local market and opening new white space for Unilever Korea. Furthermore, this position will be a key hub to provide insights across local and Unilever International regions so that she/he can be crucial person in the know under home care business group. Main brands are currently Snuggle however there are many brands, categories in global portfolio and ODM/OEM operation which can be landed in Korea for future. As Unilever Korea has +3 years of homecare category presence locally, this role has lot of untapped white space opportunities to land and develop under home care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and marketing plan for personal care aligned with global strategy. Home Care category includes Fabric solutions, Fabric sensations, Home & hygiene, Life essentials, and new home care related segments.
Manage category issues and opportunities and connect with category team to lead brand growth.
Manage home care brands and category P&L.
Understand category drivers and identify issues, challenges, and opportunities to deliver sustainable growth with market research.
Be category guardian for responsible brands to drive brand growth in right way.
Initiate new product development thru finding white space insights from market, consumer and customer and propose to LT, cross-functional and global brand team.
Plan and execute brand marketing plan and campaign.
Develop and support integrated communication plan (ATL/BTL, etc) and track performance.
Analyze effectiveness / outcomes of campaigns and monitor the performance.
Lead all NPD related briefing and give input related to NPD to innovation team.
Co work with innovation team to deliver new product on time.
Collaborate with agencies and cross functional teams to deliver on-time brand/product launch.
Report issues/problems and come up with solutions/recommendations to improve effectiveness based on performance monitoring.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
More than 7 years of marketing experience in FMCG
Brand management experience required
Fluent in English
Multi-national company experience preferred
